memorial vol. I explores how personal belongings related to those we have lost can embody grief, love, and memory. Through collaboration with 25 Chicago-based community members, memorial vol. I catalogs significant items that reflect each person's unique experience with loss. Each object and its accompanying story offer a quiet space for reflection, honoring the lives and legacies of those no longer with us. This is the first volume in this series.
